Members of Franklinton Baptist Church, Franklinton United Methodist Church and The Franklinton Women’s Club operate in conjunction as the Friends of Franklinton Middle School (FFMS). These groups work together to promote a nurturing and productive school culture by providing students with school supplies, raising monies for various needs and providing activities and events for faculty and staff to bond and support each other as they implement their vision for educating our communities youth. Such activities include a pancake breakfast at the beginning of each year and an end of year meal; lunches on various teacher workdays; celebration of staff and students with ice cream; Christmas boxes filled with homemade goodies, school supplies, and teacher survival kits; and Valentine’s bags filled with candy and homemade goods. Also, FFMS sponsors competitions between teachers that promote best teaching practices and improved communication with parents. Winners of these competitions win gift cards donated by local businesses and gift baskets donated by FFMS members.
